Proof children really do listen in church!

Yesterday in stake conference, a member of the stake presidency was reading off all of the names of the general authorities of the church for our sustaining vote. When he read off the name L. Tom Perry, Eric turned to Paul's sister and said, "L. Tom Perry?!!! That's like Tom and Jerry!!" (Which happens to be his current favorite cartoon of choice!) Cracked us all up! Living proof 4 year olds can rhyme AND listen in church!

Our sweet Eric!! He is the best. Not many children that age ever listen to speakers at church.

Oh my gosh! That is hilarious. Maybe other children do the same thing... like Julie B. Beck as "Baby Get Back"... or Russell M. Nelson as "Wrestle them Nelson!" or best of all.. Gordon BE Hinkley like his last name is a verb or something. Now I'm getting sacreligious. Sorry.

When Eric came to sit with Bob at Stake Conference, Bob was wearing his glasses (rather than wearing contacts). Eric reached up, took off the glasses and put them in Bob's shirt pocket and said, "Don't put those on again. I like to see your eyes!" We just love that boy!

Love the Tom & Jerry remark, too! That's awesome!
